Kindergartners Start Their Day With Handshakes, Hugs, And Smiles!

“Simple Gesture: Every morning, these kindergartners start their day by lining up and greeting one another ā€” with handshakes, hugs and a smile.”

Brenda Teese says:

“She’s been doing this for 18 years: The teacher believes each of her “littles” deserves a classroom where they know they are accepted and have friends, and this positive interaction at the start of their day can help them learn that.”

Kit does something similar with her class:

“My kids do that every day. I take over as greeter after breaks so I can tell them they were missed and Iā€™m happy to be back with them.”
