This Chunky Rodent Had A Bit Of A Situation Getting Out Of A Manhole
A team of firefighters had to be called in the German town of Bensheim when a rat was unable to get out of a sewer manhole due to his girth. The question of how many firefighters does it take to get a rat out of a manhole cover was answered: it took nine. According to Timothy J. Barron, “Photographs from a rescue operation in Germany to save a rat stuck in a manhole cover. The backstory is that the stuck rat was discovered by a little girl, who is shown in the photos, and drew a picture to thank the rescuers.”
