People Share Stories Of Strangers Being Kind In Challenging Circumstances – Part 2 ๐
I was walking in Boston lost because I had the wrong address (Should have been in Cambridge), it was pouring rain and I had 2 broken elbows and a car pulled up beside me and handed me a huge orange umbrella before driving away before I could even say thank you.

I went to France as a college student and could only speak a handful of words in French. Jumped on what I *thought* was the right bus from the suburbs into Paris. The bus driver went OFF HIS ROUTE to drop me across the street from the real bus stop. On a weekday morning!

Once I was feeling like I could vanish and it wouldnโt matter and didnโt ride my bus two days in a row and when I got it the bus driver was just like โGlad youโre back. I was worriedโ and I bawled.

My husband played an online video game with a bunch of people he had never met irl. We were struggling financially, and they privately took up a collection amongst them. One of them was passing through town, asked my husband to meet up, and handed him like, $700.

Didnt have much growing up (single mom, 2 kids) but I remember finding money under our windshield wipers, someone giving us an old car, and food on our doorstep. Mostly fr. our church fam I think (whatever church we were at), but good lessons that I try to pass on 25 yrs later.
